Print out textbook chapter

Please make sure you print the textbook chapter. Click on "textbook project" and then click on the link to the chapter. Print out the entire chapter and bring it to class.

9:30 class grades heads up for those with over 500 points

There was an error on the overhead for those eligible to NOT take the final.  You must have 550 points NOW to be eligible to not take the final.  I apologize for any confusion.  Please see me if you have questions.

Friday April 25th last day to withdraw

If you decide to withdraw from English 116, please make sure you long onto Web Advisor and withdraw yourself by Friday. I do NOT withdraw students at this point in the semester.  If you do not go through this process, you will end up with whatever grade you have earned by the end of the semester.

Remember grades and vocab cards Thursday 4/24

Vocab cards must have pictures to be counted.

I will be giving out grades on Thursday. Please make sure you are present because the last day to withdraw is Friday.

Blank Slate For Tuesday 4/15

Please be sure to have a copy of "The Blank Slate" with you on Tuesday. This essay is in your reading packet.  We will be working on this essay for the next two weeks.

Great Conversations

Some really interesting conversations and ideas were presented this week. Thanks to all who participated. 

Be sure to bring your Carr pro and con sheet with you to class on Tuesday. We will finish it then (it is worth 25 points!)

I also need everyone's works cited if you haven't given it to me already.

Conversations start Tuesday!

Just a reminder that our conversations will start on Tuesday. It is important the everyone be ready in case they are called, regardless of the order.

Please be on time. If, for some reason you cannot make it on time, please do NOT enter in the middle of a conversation. It is disruptive to those doing their conversation.  Wait until they have finished.

If you are not prepared to go when your group is called, your group will lose 25% of the grade. If your entire group is not present when you are called, you may chose to proceed with the group members present or take the 25% grade decrease and go Thursday.

Remember, be patient and enjoy yourselves!
